Medicare & NDIS

Making therapy happen

We help you navigate Medicare and NDIS so your child can get the therapy they need.

Medicare

Medicare rebates for your child's therapy

A Chronic Disease Management plan from your GP can open the door. It gives your child up to five rebated allied health sessions each calendar year. We process the claim for you on the spot.

NDIS

NDIS funding explained

We work with plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. You get the same quality therapy no matter how your plan is managed.

  • Plan managed: your plan manager handles the invoices

We send invoices directly to your plan manager. They pay us from your child's NDIS funds. You never see a bill.

  • Self managed: you pay and claim it back

You pay the invoice after each session, then claim the cost back through the NDIS portal. We give you clear receipts to make it simple.

Early childhood

Early childhood support for kids under seven

The NDIS Early Childhood Early Intervention approach helps young children get support fast. You do not need a formal diagnosis to start.

  1. 01

    Getting started

Talk to your GP or child health nurse about developmental concerns. They can refer you to an NDIS early childhood partner.

  2. 02

    What happens next

The early childhood partner will meet with your family. They help you understand what supports your child might need.

Eligibility

What funding covers

Know what you can claim before you start. We keep it clear and honest.

  • Medicare

Medicare rebates need a GP plan

Your child needs a Chronic Disease Management plan from their GP. The plan must be in place before the first session.

  • NDIS plans

    NDIS plans need stated goals

Your child's plan must include funding for Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy. The goals should match the therapy we provide.

  • Speech therapy

    Speech therapy sessions are claimable

Individual speech sessions can be claimed under Medicare or NDIS. We tailor each session to your child's communication goals.

  • Occupational therapy

    Occupational therapy sessions are claimable

Individual OT sessions help with daily living skills and sensory needs. Both Medicare and NDIS can cover these sessions.

  • Assessments

    Assessments can be funded

Functional Capacity Assessments are often covered by NDIS funding. They provide evidence for plan reviews and new applications.

  • Group programs

    Group programs build skills together

Some group programs can be claimed under NDIS. They help children practise social skills with peers in a fun setting.

Funding FAQs

What Medicare rebates apply?

Children with a Chronic Disease Management plan from their GP can access rebates for up to five allied health sessions per calendar year. The rebate is currently $58.00 per session. We process your claim on the spot through Medicare.

How does NDIS work?

If your child has an NDIS plan with funding for Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy, we can provide services under that plan. For plan-managed participants we invoice your plan manager; for self-managed participants you pay and claim the cost back. You just need to provide your child's plan details.

Can I combine funding?

Yes, many families use Medicare rebates for some sessions and NDIS funding for others. We help you map out a schedule that makes the most of both. It is about getting your child the support they need without the financial stress.

Are there session limits?

Medicare limits you to five rebated sessions per calendar year. NDIS limits depend on your individual plan and the funding category. We will always be upfront about what your funding covers.

What documents do I need?

For Medicare, bring your GP's Chronic Disease Management plan and your Medicare card. For NDIS, bring your child's plan and any relevant reports. We handle the rest of the paperwork for you.
